I finally tried (and succeeded) in making goat cheese fondue, or dip, and it was just as heavenly as one I had in a favorite restaurant. I was brave and asked the waiter how it’s made in hopes that he’d tell me, and he did! I was shocked when he told me it was just two ingredients.

So I came home and mixed the dairy products in a small pan, heated it gently and it was ready to go; incredibly simple. Then all that’s needed is bread and apples, or whatever you’d like to dip into the warm cheese.

It’s hard to believe there are only two ingredients in this incredible appetizer. It’s so delicious and filling, you can just add a charcuterie board and a glass of wine and call it dinner!

What kind of Cheese do I use?

For this recipe, the soft, log cheese which usually says “chevre” (goat in French) is the the one to use. Use a good quality cheese for the best flavor.

Well, my fellow goat cheese lovers, stay with me because if you love the goat cheese dip,  this pretty salad actually tastes even better than it looks–mostly because of the crispy, warm goat cheese medallions sitting atop the luscious field greens!
