Bacon Wrapped Olives – Perfect Party Food

Bacon wrapped olives are one of those incredible combinations that require a lot of self control. Not in making them, but in eating them. Talk about addictive!

The first time I made bacon wrapped olives for a party, I asked my brother, “Aren’t these amazing?” as he was popping them into his mouth.

Actually, the combination of the salty, pimento-stuffed green olives and bacon, especially when still hot out of the oven, is nothing short of marvelous. As you can see, I chose bacon with very little fat. What you can’t see is that it has added nitrates or nitrites (just natural nitrates from celery).

Ingredients

Special equipment: toothpicks

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Olives

Preheat oven to 400º F (205ºC)

Cut rashers of bacon into thirds.

Wrap one third of bacon rasher around olive and secure with toothpick.

Next, place on foil lined tray or pyrex dish.

Bake for about 10 minutes, turn the olives, and bake another 8 to 10 minutes or so, or until the bacon is starting to brown and is cooked. If making in the air fryer, bake at 375 and keep an eye on them as 10 minutes may be too long.

Serve bacon wrapped olives as an appetizer, or part of a buffet. They’re superb for cocktail parties, but just as good for snacks or even picnics!

Although I think they’re best just out of the oven, room temperature is just fine, too. My husband calls me “Teflon Mouth”, so unless you’re like me, be careful eating bacon wrapped olives too quickly from the oven. 😂

  • 24 large green olives (Manzanilla, stuffed with pimento)
