You may recall my Italian Cabbage and Rice Recipe which I recently entered in a Jamie Oliver contest with a video on how to make this delectable and healthy dish.
Well, it’s now featured on Andrew Wilder’s Eating Rules, which is where October Unprocessed was “born”. If you haven’t yet taken the challenge, it’s not too late! Go check out my recipe and then sign up and join me and over 10,000 others who have already done so; you won’t be doing it alone!
Andrew is the “unprocessed leader”, posting tips and simple, healthy recipes each day to inspire you, help you make better decisions and answer questions we all have when starting on this healthy trek.
Whether you make one simple change (like cutting out sodas, or maybe all corn syrup), or you decide to try to make a bigger leap, by trying to go completely unprocessed in your kitchen, you’ll be doing something good for your body, and you will feel it!
You’ll be amazed at some of the “side effects” of this endeavor; from having more energy, weight loss, and having fewer physical complaints, to spending much less on your food expenses and producing way less kitchen trash!! You’ll be amazed at how little will go into your garbage can when you don’t have take-away boxes, cans, and packaging from pre-made foods going into it! Our family has a smaller sized garbage can which we put on the street, and we rarely fill it more than a quarter full. Meanwhile, the neighbors’ bigger cans are usually overflowing, and their lids usually don’t even close completely.
This may sound trite, but I do believe that old saying, “You are what you eat.” Whole foods, vegetables, fruit, organic meats, legumes and grains are fabulous!!
So check out my guest post on Eating Rules here:
And I hope you’ll joing me for the rest of the month of October in going UNPROCESSED!
