How to Caramelize Onions
Slice one large, or two smaller onions into thin slices.
Place 1 tsp of butter and 1 tbsp olive oil in a sauté pan, melt over medium low heat.
Add the onions, and salt immediately, as this will result in better flavor.
Sauté slowly for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring the onion slices quite frequently.
Sauté longer, for more caramelization.
Use as desired.
